Getting Around The Local Area By Bike

Depending on how confident and fit a cyclist you are, there are a range of destinations that can be accessed by bike from Brougham Fields.

Penrith town centre is a 10-minute cycle from the site. Here you’ll find supermarkets and retailers, bars, restaurants and cafes and all the other services you’d expect in a busy town. The local train station, Penrith (North Lakes), is also in the town centre and has cycle parking both outside the station and on the platform. The closest primary schools are also less than 10 minutes, making the school run doable by bike too.

NCN route 71 runs right past Brougham Fields and offers a convenient route into Penrith heading west, and a scenic rural cycle route heading south east. Find out more about this and other routes on the network by following the links below.
